Why can't I get this blu-ray drive to work?
Tried several software...
Leawo,
Free Blu-Ray Player (Amazing-Share shit);
Cyberlink Media Suite
Currently using VLC, and I tried the trick to get that to work on blu-ray, but nada...
I have to wonder if blu-ray disks aren't some sort of geek joke.

I had an LG Blu-Ray drive that provided the Cyberlink Media Suite, but that gave me an error that stated I was to run their "BD Advisor" to see if my pc was good for playback...yes, it is good for playback..."Insert Blu-Ray Disk" did that...same error...loop.
I suspect that I needed to connect to the 'net for bullshit advertising..."Upgrade now!"
it was a portable drive. The manual included stated I needed to plug into a USB 2.0 port, but I've got 3.0 ports. Not sure if that was an issue for that model/brand.
Everywhere I look now suggests freeware, and how well things run for such, but haven't had any luck so far.

Sorry man I have no idea. I still use my PS3 to watch blueray disks.

Pretty sure with my luck, were I to acquire a PS3, I'd get a message "NOPE! Try again!"
At least I know from your post that blu-ray disks aren't some scam.

Looks like it will depend on your individual machine, and possibly BR disk generation. Offhand I’ve used the PowerDVD software just fine. Leawo worked as well. (I’ve been testing other methods to try to see what I can get to stream through Discord.)
Usually you should be able to start a support case with CyberLink to try to get things to work.
